It Ain’t So Grey in God’s Word

Yes, that’s a Miss Piggy bookmark, thanks to one of my high school best friends

Ladies, I am sending out some great articles that address the disturbing movie that is coming out based on the book series The 50 Shades of Grey.  Let me be clear: I have not read these books nor do I plan on seeing the movie that is coming out.  A precious sister in Christ and my small group co-teacher is teaching from a book entitled Pulling Back the Shades by Dannah Gresh and Dr. Juli Slattery.  This book has greatly enlightened me on how the secular world is trying to glamorize some very disturbing practices.  Sex was by God’s design, and I encourage you to explore the biblical view of sex.  I highly recommend this book, especially if you are a bible teacher or mentor to ladies, especially younger females who might think anything about the relationship depicted in this book series is exciting, good, or normal. I am encouraging you not to take my word on this subject.  Do some reading and research so that we as followers of Christ can spread the truth about God’s perfect design of marriage and sex.

Focus on the Family with Jim Daly: Exposing the Lure of Romance and Erotica

*I do suggest the book Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.  I suggest this to my high school girls.

Can I help you with a women’s event?  I love spending time with my sisters all over and sharing from God’s Word with them.  I am selfish–God does a great work in me to prepare me to speak and share.  So, I love speaking because I long for God to move in me!
