“Broken: A Journey of Healing” Snippet from Chapter Two, “Repentance”

From Chapter Two, “Broken”

You and I are no longer children. Time to stop acting like one. I realize that these are hard words, but God has not allowed me to wallow. If you are reading these hard words and haven’t slammed this bible study shut yet, God is speaking to you. Know that as a Christian, the enemy loves defeated Christians. They are useless to the kingdom.
Let’s agree with Paul.
Say these words aloud:
“When I was a child, I talked like a child. I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man (or a woman), I put childish ways behind me.”
God, help me to not think like a child or reason like one. Help me to recognize wallowing in my life. I will not allow the enemy to defeat me any more. I will claim the truth of your word which will transform my life. I will start by claiming this verse.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
God, I know that you have plans for me that are far beyond what I can imagine. They are good and include a hope and a future. Prepare my heart for a good work.”

These can be ordered from my web site, and all proceeds will go to my mission trips this year.

I will be teaching this starting in March on Wednesday nights at Little Flock Baptist Church.  Come join me.
