Remember You are Not Alone: Fighting the Holiday Blues

The holidays can be so difficult for so many, but we must remember that it is a season of hope.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.    Isaiah 9:6

I have written many times about the year that my dad had a stroke around Christmas and the pain that came with that.  My dad was with us for many ears after his stroke with my mom by his side caring for him.  He passed away three days before his birthday in 2015.

Christmas is a season of joy, and I choose joy.  Time has healed the pain, but just as I say that, the pain can so easily return.  Only a miracle of God Almighty can see us through these hurts.

I have tried (I hope successfully) to move all the blog posts that I have written on this topic to the page that opens as you go to my blog.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13

Anxiously awaiting the return of our King,

Kathy
