The holidays can be so difficult for so many, but we must remember that it is a season of hope.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
I have written many times about the year that my dad had a stroke around Christmas and the pain that came with that. My dad was with us for many ears after his stroke with my mom by his side caring for him. He passed away three days before his birthday in 2015.
Christmas is a season of joy, and I choose joy. Time has healed the pain, but just as I say that, the pain can so easily return. Only a miracle of God Almighty can see us through these hurts.
